The Surface Mount Drop Bolt Lock (SP- Surface Mount Drop Bolt Lock) is an electric solenoid-based locking mechanism designed for surface installation on frame or frameless glass doors, wooden doors, metal doors, and narrow door frames. Unlike concealed drop bolt locks that require mortising or cutting into the door frame, surface mount drop bolts are housed in a dedicated external casing, making them easier to install without altering structural door frames.
Equipped with a solid stainless-steel deadbolt and automated magnetic alignment sensors, the lock automatically extends the bolt pin into the keeper plate once the door is properly aligned and closed. It integrates seamlessly with access control systems (such as biometric scanners, RFID card readers, keypad controllers, and exit buttons) to provide secure, heavy-duty electronic access control.
